“Even when the dark comes crashing through, when you need someone to carry you and when your broken on the ground, you will be found” (Dear Evan Hansen). The school’s advanced choir group sang these lyrics in the filled auditorium, as they performed an emotional concert for their friends and family.

At the choir performance, they sang “Hotaru Koi”, “Another Day of Sun”, “You Will be Found”, “Cantate Domino”, “Call of the Flowers”, “Oh Had I Jubal’s Lyre”, and “Taylor the Latte Boy”. Mrs. Junger, the choir teacher, taught her students all of the songs over a eight week time period.

The song “You Will be Found” is from the musical Dear Evan Hansen and spread a message of hope and finding the light at the end of the tunnel. This song, had a major effect on both the audience members and the choir.

Mika Ramos, a student, has been a part of choir for two years.

“ I think that the song means something different to everyone,” Ramos said. “The lyrics are so powerful and it was so fun to see how the audience reacted.”

The students sang songs in various languages, such as, French, Latin, and a challenging Japanese acapella piece called Hotaru Koi.

Abby Medico, a student, performed all of the songs on stage with her choir members.

“ I think that Hotaru Koi was one of my favorite songs to perform,” Medico said.” The harmonies sounded really cool.”

The Jazz Choir also performed at the choir concert, which was conducted by Mrs. Junger. The jazz choir sang two amazing songs, which they learned on their own time and at after school practices.

Savannah Lindsay, who is a part of jazz choir, had a lot of fun performing at the concert.

“ My favorite thing about jazz choir is the people that I get to sing with,” Lindsay said.

The concert choir had an amazing performance and spread an incredible message.
