Did you know that the school has plans to renovate the school campus? In fact, this plan has already started. It includes plans to possibly destroy the old PC building, expand the cafeteria, and maybe add a parking garage. As exciting as this may seem, none of this is in construction, nor is it guaranteed. As of now “The Master Plan” is only being designed. Faculty members, as well as student council members, are deciding on what things on the campus actually need renovations. According to Fr. Kastl, this plan could possibly start going into construction phase in about a year to a year in a half. However, before this happens, fundraisers need to take place, and donations need to be made. The school does not yet have the money in order to fund such a big project, but in time it will. Now that you know what “The Master Plan” is, let’s hear some feedback from some former students about it.

Genna Descher (10) thinks the expansion of the cafeteria would be a positive addition to the school campus.

“A bigger cafeteria means you can eat with more friends,” Descher said. “Also, more food variety would be very beneficial.”

A crucial reason The Master Plan is taking place is to improve classrooms. Izzy Deller (10) believes that students would learn taught material better if classrooms were updated.

“I believe better buildings will aid in a better learning environment,” Deller said.

Part of the master plan would include possibly renovating the PC building. Many students agree that the PC building is long overdue for an update. Annabelle Pierce (10) says that renovating the PC building should be a priority.

“One of my theology teacher’s roofs was caving in,” Pierce said.

As you can see, many students see the “Master Plan” as a necessity. Not only will this project improve the school buildings, but it will aid in a better learning experience.
