Ms. Kanatzar boxes up her things and clears out her room as she get ready for her new life as a wife in Mississippi. She has been a theology teacher for 5 years, now she will be moving on into a new adventure as a married woman. While Ms. Kanatzar is sad to go the positive far outweigh the negatives.

“I am ecstatic to be engaged! It is a dream come true, and I’m blessed beyond measure to marry him! Of course, there are sacrifices that must be made in every relationship. It will be a challenge to leave, but the joy of beginning my vocation as a wife is overwhelmingly exciting,” Kanatzar said.
As she finishes up her last few weeks at BK, Ms. Kanatzar looks back at the great accomplishments she’s had teaching at BK.

I would say that anything and every great thing I’ve accomplished really isn’t ME accomplishing it; it’s God working through me. I can’t imagine anything more beautiful than witnessing God working through me to reach my students. I’ve seen God working through me, and it’s an amazing experience. My prayer is that God continues to speak and work through me wherever I go and whoever I serve,” Kanatzar said.

Even though she hasn’t been teaching at BK as long as some other teachers, She has still found a way to change her student’s lives by helping them to open up to God and by helping them to grow in their faith every day. Will Edwards (11) explains how Ms. Kanatzar class helped him long after it was over.

It helped me to keep growing in my faith and get closer to God,” Edwards said.

Gabe Chesbro (11) tells us how Ms. Kanatzar helped him to grow closer to God and grow closer to his faith.

“She really helped to open my eyes to God’s miracles and works that he has done throughout the years. I didn’t realize how much the class had helped with my faith life until it was over and I really saw how much it changed how I looked at the world,” Chesbro said.

As the school year comes to a close, Ms. Kanatzar talks about how special  her time was at BK.

“A gift – I’ve grown so much as a person, as a adult, as an educator, and as a Catholic,” Kanatzar said.

Even though Ms. Kanatzar will be missed, is very happy for her as she lives out her vocation as a married woman and starts a new chapter in her life.
