Recently, the Brother Bernardine scholars went on a short vacation to St. Louis to explore the city and visit colleges. By the way the Brother B students talk about it, you would have wished you were there. So what were the highlights of this trip and what would the students do to make it better next time?

Brother B is program students can join if they meet certain criteria. There are about 180 students in Brother B, about 30 being freshman. Only about 50 actually went on the trip because the students paid for the trip out of their pockets. Evie Davie (9) is a swimmer in the Brother B program who went on the trip, and she only had one regret.

“Why would the bedtime be at 10?” Davie said.

Rachel Hoyos (9) said she really enjoyed the trip and she was glad she went because of the numerous museums they visited during the excursion.

“I just wish that we stayed for longer,” Hoyos said.

She wanted the trip longer in order to have more time to take in the art and explore the places they visited.

“The art was beautiful and unique, and it was a fun and interesting place to visit and I hope I go again,” Hoyos said.

The trip to St. Louis would be one to remember for these students . They talked about The fun little parties they would have in their hotel rooms and the laughs and memories they would share with their friends. Putting in hard work has its perks.
