Cross Country is running in to win state! They’re starting up their season and preparing for next school year. Joseph Srour (10) is anticipating the upcoming season.

“We’re very confident about winning this year,” Srour said. “We have very qualified managers and very qualified people.”

Last year, the boys Cross Country didn’t win a state title, but the girls did for the second consecutive year. Cross Country is a sport where you run a race on natural terrain for 5 km. Zac Lewallen (10) is the manager for the Cross Country team, he is looking forward to helping the team.

“I think we’re going to win this year, we’ve got a lot of good people,” Lewallen said. “We got so close last year and we’re going to work harder this year.”

The seniors last year helped the team out. Diego Gonzalez (10) is excited about the season.

“I’m very excited, we might have lost some good seniors, but we can win this year,” Gonzalez said.

Cross Country starts to prepare for the season in the summer and they will be competing when the school year starts.
