Many students may believe that off campus eating is something that they want, for themselves and their pears. Something that most students don’t understand is how dangerous off campus eating can be. High schools across the country shouldn’t have off campus eating because high schools across the country should try and do provide the best safety.

At the high school, the principal says “the number one rule for the teachers and staff at Bishop Kelley is to provide the best safety for their students.”, said Mr. Franz’. If the school can prevent their students from getting hurt then they will. Mr. Franz’s says at his old job he worked a different high school in Texas and they had off campus eating. As any other day many students decided to go and have off campus eating, but something bad happened that particular day. That particular day three of his students went out for lunch, but on that day something tragic happened. The three students on their way back to the school got to an intersection, sadly they took a wrong turn and got in a tragic wreck. Sadly the three students died in the wreck at the scene, which is very scary.

Teen Safety states “that six teenagers between the ages sixteen and nineteen get in a wreck a day. Teen Safety also states that “The crash rate triples for newly licensed drivers.” This is the main reason why the school and other high schools should not have off campus eating because what is more important eating off campus or the students safety?
